About Stephanie Chung

Stephanie is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®) and has worked with children for over 17 years in various settings, including in homes, schools, care centers, and natural environments. She began her work with the special needs population during her undergraduate career and has since then fine-tuned her abilities to functionally work with those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders, and various other developmental and behavioral disorders. She is passionate about empowering those with various needs and is deeply empathic with the children and families she works with.

Stephanie founded The Behavior Center in 2007 and has worked with very prominent figures in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. She is also a founding member of the Association of Professional  Behavior Analysts and the Hong Kong Association for Behavior Analysis. She currently uses methods of behavior therapy to teach clients required skills, including increasing appropriate behaviors, decreasing inappropriate behaviors, increasing social skills, increasing language and communication skills, and increasing learning and academic skills. Her methods of Applied Behavior Analysis are naturalized, successful, and cost-effective; clients can be worked with at home, in school, or in natural environments. 

She currently practices behavior therapy directly with clients, oversees therapists conducting therapy, holds caregiver/parent training sessions, provides consultation and other clinical services, develops individualized behavior plans, conducts various assessments, and provides training and ongoing supervision to those seeking certification. 

Stephanie received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of Florida and received her Master of Science in Counseling with a concentration in Advanced Applied Behavior Analysis from Nova Southeastern University, which is an approved university training course by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc.®.
